Events Coming UP

Need assistance for these events to be successful:

  1.  Lake Hazel Elementary has a Trunk-n-Treat on Friday October 28th.  Pack 92 runs the "Spook Alley" in between the two gyms.  We need a parent/s to coordinate with the Principle Jennifer Logan; she is the contact for this event at LHE.  Last year Pack 92 put on an awesome spooky show for children to walk through going from one side of the rear playground to the other.  We had Scouts in their Halloween costumes, smoke machine, and a large tunnel to walk through with Halloween decorations hanging all over.  The Scouts had a blast and the school appreciated our help with making their Trunk-n-Treat a success.  Please contact Committee Chair Brian Skinner if you can lead this Spook Alley.
  2. One of the big service projects Boy/Cub Scouts do for their communities is "Scouting for Food".  This event supports local food banks, Salvation Army, El-Ada, and WICAP to ensure that the food collected helps people in need in their neighborhoods.  Bags are distributed to neighborhood homes on Saturday November 5th and then picked back up (hopefully full of canned food) next Saturday November 12th.  Troop 92 is the main coordinator for this event and Pack 92 needs a parent/s to be in contact with Troop 92's Scoutmaster Robert Butler to coordinate times for the two units to work together to canvass parts of SW Boise.  Please contact C.C. Brian Skinner if you can help coordinate with Troop 92.
  3. One of Pack 92's continued goals is to help the young Scouts to become better in all ways of their lives.  Dinner manners is one of those ways.  We would like to put on a "Mastering Manners" Pack meeting before Thanksgiving break; Monday November 14th.  We need to have 3-5 parents meet together to see if this is possible to pull off; I think it can be done.  Please contact Committee Chair Brian Skinner to help out with this event.
  4. Another service project that Pack 92 does is volunteer to help out with the Salvation Army collections on Sunday December 4th.  We contact the Salvation Army to man a "Kettle" outside of a grocery store.  This is a great opportunity for our Scouts to learn to help others.  We need a parent to coordinate this event; please contact Committee Chair Brian Skinner to volunteer.
